The addiction to such food makes you go for it and initially you will think that its not that often and its still under control but in reality the next step from this addiction will be eating junk all the time without any self control .

 

Dark Chocolates 

If you are a fan of chocolates and you always end up eating a lot of them then try switching from white or milk chocolate to dark chocolate. The higher the percentage of cacao it has, the better it is for your health. Dark chocolates have a lot of micronutrients, including selenium, zinc, phosphorus, potassium, copper, magnesium, iron, and plenty of fiber. You’ll also get lots of antioxidants from dark chocolate.which helps in avoiding inflammation and keeps you young. 

 

Frozen Yoghurt

You can switch to frozen yoghurt instead of ice cream, now no one denies the fact that ice cream is delicious but it comes with a huge con which is a scoop of fat and frozen sugar making it go on the top of unhealthy or junk list. Frozen yoghurt is fewer in calories compared to icecream and contains probiotics which helps to improve the digestion process tremendously.

Kale chips or vegetable baked chips
If you are a person who craves for crunchy food then why not replace those deep fried potato chips with kale chips or vegetable chips? It provides the crunch effect and also has nutritional values to it. Also kale chips comes with less carbs and fat content compared to potato chips. Baking the chips in oven or air frying the chips and adding your own seasonings is another healthy option. Another tip would be to decide and take the amount of chips thats good enough to eat in a day and falls under your calorie consumption for the day and stick to just that amount because most times we just get carried away  once we start eating them. 

 

Olive oil or Olive Spread

We know that for long time there has been debate regarding the healthier option, butter or margarine. Most of them claim that butter is better option due to the content of other ingredients in margarine. But, the calorie content of butter doesnt really help as well hence we can choose a third option which is olive spread.  It can be used even for baking purpose instead of butteror margarine. It contains very low calories and it tastes good as well. 

 

Roasted Sweet potatoes instead of French Fries

Switch from French fries and fried potato wedges to roasted sweet potato which is actually very high in antioxidants. Cutting it to wedges and spray some oil and air frying or roasting it will give similar satisfaction of having friends.

 

Lime water or fresh fruit juice instead of soft drinks

Soft drinks and soda contain a lot of sugar and they are also carbonated which makes them unhealthy in many ways which includes the risk of obesity and diabetes. Instead of these drinks during summer, switch to lime water or any fresh fruit juice. They are rich in vitamins and the citrus content in the fruits helps to improve the digestive system and immunity. 

 

Hence in conclusion always choose the healthier option. Sometimes you will be left with no choice except the fast food options, choose the least unhealthy options and if they provide salad do go for it. Stay healthy, stay happy!
